Company Background

After working on the U.S. mainland in the marketing departments of several Fortune 500 corporations including Procter & Gamble and Huffy Corporation, a large bicycle manufacturer, and at several Honolulu ad agencies, David Oka founded O Design Associates in 1991. The company has grown from a one-man graphic designer operation to a full-service visual communications firm. Re-named in 1998 to O Communications, the new name better represents the evolution of communication services offered including:
--- - Television, print and radio advertising
--- - Graphic design
--- - Exhibit design
--- - Web site design

We are best known for our company's success during some of Hawaii's most difficult economic times. We opened our doors at the onset of a decade-long downturn and have achieved phenomenal growth in spite of the poor business environment.

In recognition of our achievements, we received awards from Pacific Business News for the fastest-growing, privately owned small businesses in Hawaii. They include:

--- - with a growth rate of 785%
--- - #21 ranking in the 1998 "Fastest 50" List
--- - with a growth rate of 115%
